The TC-201 offers the performance of a muscle back with the increased forgiveness of a cavity back. The progressive weighting in the sole provides a lower center of gravity in the long irons for added height and higher trajectory on longer shots. Slightly changing to a higher center of gravity in the short irons creates a lower trajectory and more control on shorter shots.

Constant weight towards the heel and toe helps with off center shots. The sole design contributes significantly to the playability and forgiveness of this club and the minimal offset paired with the top line at address inspires confidence. The TC-201 is a player’s iron that acts as a replacement for the CB-1008 and perfectly complements the MB-101.

The Miura Way

Miura has been making the world’s finest forged golf clubs since 1957. Designed and constructed by master craftsman Katsuhiro Miura, each club is individually made using Miura’s patented forging process. To this day, Miura-san continues to work in the factory with his sons, Shinei and Yoshitaka, who proudly carry on the Miura legacy.

1957

The Miura story is one of family, passion, and precision. It’s one focused on the power of touch and a belief in meticulous attention to detail. It’s one grounded by an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of perfection.

It begins in Himeiji, Japan, with the art and discipline of samurai and ends with the finest hand-crafted golf clubs known to man. Our founder, Katsuhiro Miura, set out to make something elegant and refined, to create something beautiful, with the highest degree of integrity, something that isn’t done in the golf industry.

His patience and unique forging process ensures the grain of the steel is fine and uniformed, leading to a feel unlike anything else. The Miura feel. Every club is hand-crafted, one-by-one, and touched by Miura-San or one of his two sons, Shinei and Yoshitaka.

Principles of Design

In the pursuit to create the perfect iron, Miura-san recognized it was necessary to set a brand new standard of design. Using his quest for perfection as a tool for reinvention, Miura-san implemented distinct principles that after 40 years, still lead the design process today.

While design preference is personal to each player, Miura forged irons have always been created using two underlying design principles: the technical design and the transitional design. From this foundation, Miura is able to produce impeccable designs that strengthen the integrity of the game of golf.

Forging

  • Miura-san believed the manufacturing process of forging irons was fundamentally flawed. So, he changed it. This resulted in a revolutionary new technique that elevated Miura irons to the highest industry standards with the tightest tolerances.

Grinding

  • Miura-san believed the manufacturing process of forging irons was fundamentally flawed. So, he changed it. This resulted in a revolutionary new technique that elevated Miura irons to the highest industry standards with the tightest tolerances.

Polishing

  • Miura-san believed as much in the form of his irons as he did the function. An eloquently forged iron should have a similarly beautiful finish, which is why equal attention is paid to the final steps of the manufacturing process, polishing, producing a smooth club head without any sharp, harsh edges.
